Kids Connecting

Supervised Visitation and Safe Exchange Program

CAFA offers these services to provide non-custodial parents with opportunities to reconnect with their children while CAFA seeks to ensure the safety of all those involved.

Supervised Visitation:

Supervised visitation (SV) is the provision of a safe, comfortable, non-threatening and conflict-free environment in which children can spend time with thier non-custodial parent while a visitation monitor is present to ensure the visit is safe and to assist in making the visit more enjoyable for all.

Supervised Exchanges:

Supervised Exchanges (SE) are for parents who are not required to have supervision while visiting their children but need to be able to make the exchange without interacting with the other parent. The child is escorted from one parent to the other by a visitation monitor, without the parents making contact with each other.

Where do visits occur?

Visitations and exchanges are located at several different churches in the area as well as our office facilities. Each of the visitation centers serves a different population; one is better suited to pre-schoolers while another is more comfortable for older children. CAFA will match your child to the most appropriate center.

How do I obtain these services?

Before supervised visitation or exchanges with your family begins, CAFA will schedule an initial intake meeting with both parents SEPERATELY. Each parent must call CAFA and schedule their own appointment. Four (Free) parenting classes are required before the visiting parent may schedule a visit.
